Kevin Ceballos was discovered by world-renowned pianist and producer Isidro Infante, and signed to RMM Records, Kevin Ceballo began his recording career in 1999.
At the beginning of his career, Kevin was featured as a back up vocal on India's Grammy nominated albums, "Sobre El Fuego" and "Sola". He continued working with Maestro Infante and has also lent his vocal style to studio projects for Celia Cruz, Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri among others. Kevin has performed in many live engagements with stars such as Marc Anthony and India and has also co-headlined prestigious events in New York, Washington, D.C., Boston, Orlando and Miami to name a few with India, Huey Dunbar and Victor Manuelle among others.
Kevin's solo debut album, "Mi Primer Amor", was released for RMM Records on September 2000 and immediately made its mark on the Latin music scene. The single named after the album's title, "Mi Primer Amor", rocketed to the top of the Tropical Charts of Radio & Musica, where it remained for an astonishing seven consecutive weeks. On Dec. 23, 2000, it was Billboards Greatest Gainer of the week and Latin Top 50, where it reached Position # 16. On Feb., 08, 2001, Kevin Ceballo was awarded the Revelacion del Año - Best New Artist - at the 2001 Univision Premio lo Nuestro in Miami. Kevin then recorded the mega hit Mi Primer Amor in English - "My First Love " and once again it escalated to the #1 position on WKTU 103.5 top ten list and remained there for several weeks in 2002.
In 2003, Kevin starred on Broadway in "The Look of Love". He was part of an ensemble cast interpreting the music of the legendary Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Kevin was the lead tenor in the Musical, which played at the Atkinson Theater in New York and remained on for a six month run.
In May 2003, Kevin released his long awaited second CD production, "Yo Soy Ese Hombre". The album, needless to say, was a huge hit. not only did it reach the top of the Latin Charts in radio play, sales and club play, but it signaled the world that Kevin Ceballo is a not only an accomplished musician, songwriter and single, but the new emerging and promising young star much needed in the industry. Kevin's hit single "Amame o Dejame", reached #1 in several markets such as Miami, Philadelphia, D.C., Puerto Rico, and of course, New York. Kevin's fan base is incredible and includes an online fan club.
The second single of the Production "Tu Volveras" also gained Kevin, the recognition and support of his fans and received great rotation in the Tropical Genre Radio stations in the Country, reaching the #5 position.
Kevin's upcoming CD "RENACER" features some of his original compositions as well as songs by noted composers such as Yoel Henriquez , Juan Carlos Perez Soto, and Obie Bermudez. As always, he imbues each lyric with depth and meaning. Kevin truly has a gift for interpretation. The Street date for "RENACER" is February 26, 2008. His music has been heard and enjoyed around the world and there is much, much more to come from this remarkable, young and talented singer/composer.
